![]() ![]() Sleeping pods are a good size but then with just the two of us we were hardly going to be short of space! The darker 'lights out' fabric of the sleeping pods is a useful feature but not so dark as to make it gloomy. The internal photos I have posted will show you how much room the 500XL provides even with our cooking facilities set up inside. The jump up in living space from the 500 to the 500XL is significant so we are pleased we made the additional investment. As we cook inside there is no need for us to purchase the additional awning we keep the extension for just sitting under and extra storage for things like the BBQ and fire pit.Īs it's just for two of us it is luxuriously spacious. ![]() Love the built in porch/extension which is perfect for sitting under in wet conditions and big enough to keep you well protected from wind, rain and extremes of sun. Tent has the Vango TBSII tension band system which we used a few times on breezy days/nights and really helps to keep the tent stable. ![]() We also purchased the carpet and due to lack of stock of the footprint groundsheet at the time of purchase I picked up a much cheaper compatible footprint from a now discontinued Outwell tent.Ī 5000HH means the tent is really waterproof and there were no leaks at all despite a lot of rain over a 2 day spell at the beginning of the holiday. The excellent ventilation definitely helps with the condensation issue and as we invested in the additional roof liner that also makes the tent more comfortable in both hot and cooler conditions. Extremely stable even in windy conditions and no issues with leaks or condensation. Tent is 150 denier Polyester and feels a quality product. Have to say that the Edoras 500XL is the best tent we have owned (and we have owned quite a few!). I originally posted this review last year (2016) in the Edoras 500 area as at the time there was no facility to review the 500XL 0 from 0 people found this review helpful, was it helpful to you?īy: Campasarow Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2016 Rating: ![]()
